Mode d'emploi
- Soaked in water or milk and taken as a traditional morning drink
- Made into halim laddoos with jaggery and coconut, a classic Indian preparation
- Stirred into warm milk with jaggery at bedtime
- Sprinkled over salads, soups and curd after soaking
- Added to smoothies, porridge and overnight oats
- Used in traditional postnatal recipes, as is customary in many Indian households
Conseils d'utilisation
- Soak 1 teaspoon (about 5 g) in water or milk for 10 to 15 minutes before use.
- The seeds swell and develop a soft, gel-like coating — this is normal and is how they are traditionally taken.
- One teaspoon a day is a typical serving.
- Pair with a source of vitamin C, such as lemon or amla, which supports iron absorption.
- Drink plenty of water through the day, as the seeds are high in fibre.
- Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
