How to Use
- Aloe vera whisked into water or juice as a light drink
- Aloe vera mixed into face packs and hair masks
- Haritaki stirred into warm water, traditionally at night
- Haritaki taken with honey or ghee to soften the astringency
- Haritaki used as a traditional gargle or mouth rinse
Directions of Use
- Aloe vera: 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon in water or juice; or 1–2 teaspoons mixed with water as an external gel.
- Haritaki: 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon (2–3 g) in warm water once daily, traditionally at night.
- Start with smaller quantities of both.
- Do a patch test before first external use of aloe if you have sensitive skin.
- Store both in airtight containers in a cool, dry place.
- Haritaki is NOT recommended during pregnancy; avoid it if dehydrated, fatigued or fasting.
- Aloe taken internally can have a laxative effect — begin with a very small quantity, and avoid during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or for children.
- If you take any medication, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before internal use of either.
