Spirulina Extract Powder
Spirulina is a blue-green microalga, dried into a powder of an almost startling deep green. It is among the most protein-dense foods available — around 60% protein by dry weight — and it carries that protein alongside iron, B vitamins and the pigment phycocyanin. A warning worth giving plainly: the taste is strong, marine and unmistakably algal. Almost nobody takes spirulina in water. It goes into a smoothie with fruit, where it disappears.

How to Use
- Blended into fruit smoothies, which mask the flavour well
- Whisked into juice, especially pineapple, mango or citrus
- Stirred into energy balls, bars and raw desserts
- Used as a natural green colouring in food
- Mixed into face packs in traditional home skincare
- Added to soups and savoury dishes after cooking
Directions of Use
- Take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon (about 3–5 g) daily.
- Blend into a fruit smoothie or strong-flavoured juice — plain water does it no favours.
- Start with a smaller quantity and build up.
- Add to hot dishes after cooking rather than during, to protect the nutrients.
- Spirulina stains strongly — rinse blenders and surfaces promptly.
- Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
- Not recommended if you have phenylketonuria (PKU), an autoimmune condition, or take immunosuppressants or blood thinners. If pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use.
