Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is highly versatile, used for everything from high-heat cooking to deep-conditioning hair treatments. Because this is Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, it is less processed and retains more of the natural nutrients and distinct coconut aroma. Here are the primary benefits broken down by use: 🥥 Health & Nutrition • Healthy Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCTs): Unlike many other fats, MCTs are sent straight to the liver, where they are used as a quick energy source or turned into ketones, which can provide fuel for the brain. • Heart Health: Studies suggest that virgin coconut oil may help increase HDL (good) cholesterol levels. • High Smoke Point: It is more stable at high temperatures than olive oil or butter, making it excellent for sautéing and baking without the oil breaking down into harmful compounds. ✨ Skin & Beauty • Natural Moisturizer: It is rich in fatty acids that help repair the skin’s natural barrier. It’s particularly effective for those with dry skin or eczema. • Antimicrobial Properties: It contains Lauric Acid, which has antibacterial and antifungal properties, helping to protect skin against minor infections. • Hair Health: It can penetrate the hair shaft better than most oils, helping to reduce protein loss and keep hair strong and shiny. 🦷 Oral Hygiene (Oil Pulling) • Oral Detox: Swishing a tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth for 10–15 minutes (oil pulling) can help reduce harmful bacteria, improve breath, and support gum health. A quick tip for your bottle: Since this is a natural product, it will turn into a solid white cream if the temperature drops below 24°C (75°F). If it solidifies, you can easily melt it by placing the bottle in a bowl of warm water.
