The seed of the jamun, or Indian black plum, dried and milled to a fine powder. The fruit itself is a short-lived monsoon treat; the seed is what Ayurveda has traditionally kept and used, and it carries a very different character — dry, astringent and bitter rather than sweet. It is one of the classical Ayurvedic single-herb powders, and it is nearly always taken in water on an empty stomach rather than used in cooking.
Jamun seeds are separated from selected ripe fruit, then washed, dried and finely milled under controlled conditions to preserve their natural composition.
| Ingredients | 100% Pure Jamun Seed Powder (Syzygium cumini). No additives, preservatives, colours, flavours or fillers. |

| Taste Profile | Dry, astringent and distinctly bitter, with a woody earthiness and a puckering finish. Assertive, and usually taken with water rather than savoured. |
